The Toll
Autor Neal Shustermanen Limba Engleză Hardback – 19 feb 2020 – vârsta până la 17 ani
In the highly anticipated finale to the New York Times best-selling trilogy, dictators, prophets, and tensions rise. In a world that’s conquered death, will humanity finally be torn asunder by the immortal beings it created?
Citra and Rowan have disappeared. Endura is gone. It seems like nothing stands between Scythe Goddard and absolute dominion over the world scythedom. With the silence of the Thunderhead and the reverberations of the Great Resonance still shaking the earth to its core, the question remains: Is there anyone left who can stop him?
The answer lies in the Tone, the Toll, and the Thunder.

Ina Fabian a dat nota:
'All resonates. The past, the present, and the future. The tales we hear as children - the stories we then pass on - have happened, are happening, or will happen soon enough. If not, then the stories would not exist. They resonate in our hearts because they are true. Even the ones that begin as lies. ' I think the final book in this serie didn' t reached the anticipation of this story. Between long conversations and too many characters, I was constantly waiting for something to happen. There were too many characters that didn't contributed enough to the story and for me, they were easy to forget. Besides the pyre gleaning scene that kept me impatient, I didn't had the same feeling towards other scenes in the book. I guess the first and second book in the serie were so good that this time my expectations were extremely high.
