The Trotters of Tweeville: Joujou McVue: Trotters of Tweeville, cartea 3

Autor Shirin Zarqa-Lederman Ilustrat de Adam Lederman
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 23 sep 2015
JouJou McVue has anointed herself as princess of the kind village known as Tweeville-at least for today She is a mindful princess who knows the value of stopping to smell the roses, and that being hasty means wasting opportunities to experience the world around her. Her father, however, is always in a race against time. Today, JouJou and her father have one hour to ride around the lake in her neighborhood. As they begin, her father speeds ahead while she stops to compliment her neighbor, Mr. Fred on his ripe red tomatoes. Will her dad slow down to play in a pile of leaves? Will he stop to welcome a new friend, like JouJou does? Can he slow down to catch a lost puppy? In the third book of the Trotters of Tweeville series, a little girl demonstrates the value of being mindful by reminding her father the opportunities that he wastes in his haste.

Notă biografică

Shirin Zarqa-Lederman is a wife and mother of five children. Shirin lives in New Jersey with her family, where she was born and raised. She is a Board Certified Professional Counselor and is licensed in NJ. Her 18 year counseling career has focused solely on children and adolescents and their families. Most recently Shirin's practice has transformed into "mobile" therapy, where she counsels in a clients' home rather than the traditional counselor office. This allows her to experience a child in his/her element-a much more natural setting. Her attention has been children and adolescents who have difficulty socializing with their peers, developing and maintaining focus on daily tasks, managing behavior within a school setting, as well as a familial setting. JouJou McVue makes Shirin Zarqa-Lederman a third time author. The book series has received several awards and is currently being transformed into a movement of "kindness," the inspiration behind the series.
