Notă biografică
Maurice E. Kennedy, Jr. is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he lives with his with wife Marie of ten years, two sons Errol, Bret and two cats in Germantown. He grew up in a strong family unit with his father Maurice Sr., mother Sarah, older sister Antoinette and two younger sisters Tammy and Miriam. He maintains a close relationship with his baby sister Miriam (his heart) and her husband Marc ... one of the "Beamer-Boys." After completing his studies in Computer Science at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania in 1984, Mr. Kennedy went on to build an extensive thirty-five year career as a senior computer programmer analyst and instructor. The Voice is permeated with his real life experiences and although it is not meant to be perceived as an inspirational work, the themes of love, harmony and peaceful-coexistence do reflect some of the values that he holds dear. His two primary inspirations for writing came from Dr. Rudolph R. Windsor author of From Babylon to Timbuktu and other books (a true mentor and friend) and from a poetry class he took at Temple University/PASCEP (where he has taught for over twenty-five years) with Dr. Regina Jennings who teaches African American Literature at Rutgers University and is the author of Midnight Morning Musings: Poems of an African American. Although the Voice is a work of fiction, it his hope that readers can relate to the characters, find the storyline interesting and can take away something positive from the novel. Other publications by the author include, Developing Dynamic Databases, Creating Professional Spreadsheets, The Art of Chess and In Essence (a poetry collection).
