The Wet Patch
Autor Linda S. Hooperen Limba Engleză Paperback – 7 ian 2021
Some say, "You've written about our wet tropics and rainforest. Others say it's about our 'Big Wet', a nice mild term for our cyclone season. Yet others have truly mucky minds.
What I will say, is that The Wet Patch along with all of the other humorous poems in this little book are true stories.
The book is scattered with North Queensland colloquialisms. The characters, even those with silly names, are real people. Dave, who features in my poems, is my husband, David.
Hope you enjoy the book as much as I did living it.

Notă biografică
Born in Birmingham, England, Linda immigrated to Australia with her parents and four sisters in 1966, finally settling in Townsville with her journalist husband and son, Ben. Her husband passed away at an early age.
Linda married her husband, David, another journalist and typical North Queenslander in 1994. She divides her time between their Ravenshoe farm and beach houses in Cardwell and Magnetic Island, where most of her poetic yarns were born. Writing about real people and true events, Linda has written humorous poetry for most of her life and finds humour in the ordinary.
