Notă biografică
Jim Wilkerson was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1935 and, while on a football scholarship at USC, majored in broadcasting. In 1958, his radio and TV career started on the Armed Forces Network in Korea. After the service, Jim was a disc jockey and sports columnist in Phoenix. In 1968, he moved to Los Angeles and worked in news and sports for KRLA, KFI, KFWB, and the ABC radio network. He got his first TV job as a sports anchor in Denver. In 1975, switched to TV news anchor in Albuquerque. From there, Jim went to WSB in Atlanta. Then, on to anchor for three years at CNN during its startup in 1980. Jim wrote freelance columns for papers in Atlanta, Phoenix, Detroit, Albuquerque, Denver, and other major cities. Jim's career in television ended in San Diego in 1996, when he retired to Port Ludlow, Washington, where he published two books. The Wilkie Reader was the first, followed by Joey And The Threeep, a story with a moral for the child within each of us.
