Titration Calorimetry: From Concept to Application: SpringerBriefs in Molecular Science

Autor Lee D. Hansen, Mark K. Transtrum, Colette F. Quinn
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 26 apr 2018
This Brief describes the calibration of titration calorimeters (ITCs) and calculation of stoichiometry, equilibrium constants, enthalpy changes, and rate constants for reactions in solution.  A framework/methodology for model development for analysis of ITC data is presented together with methods for assessing the uncertainties in determined parameters and test data sets. This book appeals to beginners, as well as to researchers and professionals in the field.

Notă biografică

Lee Hansen is Prof. Emeritus of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT with more than 50 years experience developing instruments and methods for titration calorimetry.
Mark Transtrum is an Assistant Professor of Physics & Astronomy at Brigham Young University with interest in the theory of predictive modeling.  Beyond modeling calorimetry data, he has developed theoretical and computational techniques to improve model analysis in the fields of physics, biology, power systems engineering, material science, and accelerator science.
Colette Quinn received her doctorate from Dartmouth College focusing on biophysical characterization. She spent many hours collecting ITC data in a glovebox and appreciates every time she can run an assay in an aerobic environment.
