This was disappointing. This series started off great and just slowly went downhill in the last few volumes. I'm glad the series is over but disappointed that it ended on what appears to be a cliffhanger. I feel like Sui Ishida didn't put any effort into building or concluding the storyline, many questions were left unswered and the ending left me with even more unanswered questions than previously. I really hope Tokyo Ghoul Re will have the story concluded.

Sui Ishida was born in Fukuoka, Japan. He is the author of Tokyo Ghoul and several Tokyo Ghoul one-shots, including one that won him second place in the Weekly Young Jump 113th Grand Prix award in 2010. Tokyo Ghoul began serialization in Weekly Young Jump in 2011 and was adapted into an anime series in 2014.
