Notă biografică
Suhash Chandra Dutta Roy is an Indian electrical engineering educator and a former Professor and head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, and Dean of Undergraduate Studies at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is known for his research studies on analog and digital signal processing. He is an elected fellow of all the three major Indian science academies viz. Indian Academy of Sciences, Indian National Science Academy, National Academy of Sciences, India as well as Indian National Academy of Engineering, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Systems Society of India and Acoustical Society of India, and is a Distinguished Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers.The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, the apex agency of the Government of India for scientific research, awarded him the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, which is the highest Indian science award, for his contributions to Engineering Sciences in 1981. Prof Dutta Roy has designed and authored five full length video courses which are being promoted by National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning, the e-learning platform of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, through their online learning platform.He has been associated with several government agencies as well as all the national journals in his field, and a number of international journals such as International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, and IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems. He served as a member of the administrative council of all the four national academies, as well as some national research laboratories. He is also the author of “Circuits, Systems and Signal Processing”, which was published by Springer in 2018.
