Recenzii
'Positioned under the banner of trans reproductive and sexual justice, this book extends scholarship in this area beyond the "simple and unreflexive" binary view of gender. It presents an array of contributions by leading voices in the field on issues pertinent to trans people's reproductive and sexual health, from sexual pleasure to reproduction. Theoretical rigour stands out as a strength of this book, which promises to make an important theoretical and empirical contribution to scholarship.'
Dr Tracy Morison, Massey University, New Zealand
'This vital collection moves the study of trans people’s sexual and reproductive lives beyond transnormative logics, calls for inclusive language, and damage-centred research. We are reminded that even in light of the myriad of barriers to reproductive and sexual health and justice, trans people can and do experience joy, pleasure, happiness and euphoria.'
Dr A.J. Lowik, Gender Equity Advisor, Centre for Gender and Sexual Health Equity, US
'This book demands we confront the gendered and sexual hegemony that have limited the life chances, self-determination, and agency of not only trans people, but all of us. The authors reveal new pathways to justice, and indeed liberation, through an explicit focus on the experiences of trans and gender diverse people in the arena of reproductive and sexual health and rights. The exacting prose, rigorous engagement with extant literature, and skillful argumentation make this volume essential reading for anyone interested in reproductive and sexual justice, contemporary feminism, human rights, or queer and transgender studies.'
Dr. Avery Everhart, incoming Postdoctoral Research Fellow, School of Information and School of Public Health, University of Michigan, US
