Notă biografică
Caitrin Lynch is Associate Professor of Anthropology at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering and Visiting Research Associate in the Department of Anthropology at Brandeis University. She is the author of Juki Girls, Good Girls: Gender and Cultural Politics in Sri Lanka's Global Garment Industry (2007) and Retirement on the Line: Age, Work, and Value in an American Factory (2012, www.retirementontheline.net). She is also producer of the documentary film "My Name is Julius" (www.juliusfilm.com). Jason Danely is Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Rhode Island College and editor of the journal Anthropology and Aging Quarterly. He has published in The Journal of Aging, Humanities and the Arts (2009) and in The Journal of Ritual Studies (2012). He is currently working on a book manuscript, Departures and Returns, which examines the effects of mass population aging, intergenerational conflict, elder abandonment fears, and the construction of rituals of hope in Kyoto, Japan.
