Notă biografică
"Tony Flood has spent most of his working life as a sports and showbiz journalist.
Tony ? formerly controller of information at Sky Television, editor of Football Monthly magazine, and sports editor of the Lancashire Evening Telegraph series ? retired as a journalist when he left the national Sunday newspaper The People in 2010 and has since become a successful author.
His book of celebrity revelations, My Life with the Stars ? Best, Ali and the Panties!, is packed with stories and anecdotes about the many big names he interviewed from the worlds of show business and sports.
It soared to number one in its category for Amazon top 100 e-versions, and features Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Joan Collins, George Best, Muhammad Ali, Linda Gray, Britt Ekland, Frankie Howerd, Patsy Kensit, Petula Clark, Joe Pasquale, Seb Coe, Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Bobby Charlton, Sir Bobby Robson and many more.
Tony has written books in other genres, including fantasy adventure ? The Secret Potion ? recommended by Actress June Whitfield for Harry Potter fans. And he is one of nine authors of sixteen intriguing short stories in Twists in the Tales. All three of these books have been published by My Voice Publishing.
Tony, who plays football for a Veterans team as a goal-poaching striker, also writes theatre reviews for the Brighton Argus and Eastbourne Herald. In addition, he has found time to encourage other authors and writers as chairman of Anderida Writers of Eastbourne.
His work as a journalist saw him take on a variety of challenges ? learning to dance with Strictly Come Dancing star Erin Boag, becoming a stand-up comedian and playing football with the late George Best and England's World Cup-winning captain, Bobby Moore.
More recently Tony starred on television with former West End actor Alan Baker in 'When Variety was King', which included filmed excerpts from his appearance at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre, Eastbourne, paying tributes to showbiz and sports legends ? and adding his own wonderful brand of humour.
Tony has picked up awards as a journalist and as a writer as well as being honoured in the Eastbourne Resident of the Year awards."
