Notă biografică
Entering recruitment straight after graduating from QM College, University of London and the Central School of Speech and Drama, Ross became a trainee consultant at a prominent recruitment agency in England's Thames Valley. Rapidly rising through the ranks and mastering both permanent and contract recruitment, within two years he had been a senior consultant, team manager and, finally, head of department. In 2001, Ross formed Talisman Technology, a niche market recruitment business catering specifically to the engineering sector. The business quickly expanded, turning a profit in year one and growing in size and reputation each year thereafter. In 2008, after the business had grown to £3.5m turnover, Ross sold the company and transitioned into a role as a freelance business writer and training consultant. As a freelancer, Ross has written for and coached at numerous recruitment businesses, ranging from multi-national market leaders such as GCS Recruitment Specialists and Connections (now part of the YOH Group) to learning and development entity The Tess Group, as well as helping build a solid foundation for several SMEs. Ross has also trained individuals who have gone on to become top consultants and leaders at companies such as MicroTech Global, Avanti, DigitalGlobe, Capita, Yahoo and the SOLA Group. Ross' approach to professional development focuses on helping learners gain a thorough grasp of the basics in order to create a rock-solid foundation on which to build a successful recruitment career. The RecruitMentor training material is divided into three key areas; . Live training seminars: lively and engaging sessions, exploring resourcing, canvassing and vacancy qualification. . The RecruitMentor training books: quick-to-read and easy-to-absorb guides, covering all elements of the recruitment job. . Assessment role-plays & reports: identifying which lessons have stuck and which require further explanation.
