Lakshan is an academic educator. She is a survivor of a life-threatening gunshot wound in an armed hold-up in her ex-husband's shop in Darwin Northern Territory. After her recovery, she left Darwin Northern Territory Australia.
Now, Lakshan lives on acreage with a lovely landscaped garden that she has created for herself in Brisbane, Queensland. Though fragile in health, she took up further studies in children's writing and succeeded. She leads a quiet life without the hustle and bustle of the city. Yoga and meditation are a must part of her daily life.
