In 1989 and 1990, authors, artists, and intellectuals were at the center of attention: As commentators and observers, but also as agents in a historical process.The impending reordering of societies, constitutional assemblies, round tables, and evaluation commissions, and also the cultural changes, offered plenty of space for intellectual debates while at the same time calling for an adaption to the changing medial situation.
