War of the Classes: How to Build a Healthy Relationship That Lasts a Lifetime

Autor Jack London
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 31 mai 2007
London penned this book while living in Oakland, CA and running for Mayor as aSocialist. In "War of The Classes" he expounds his theories of government and economics which is very important since it is an American's view of a socialist society in the United States. Socialism was a political force on the American scene for decades before and after the turn of the century. Jack London was well known for his political views and this book sums it up. Most likely, this book is his most important out-right 'political book'. Eugene Debs was another important activist and writer from this dynamic period before the Bolshevic Revolution in Russia. A Collector's Edition.

Notă biografică

John Griffith "Jack" London (1876 - 1916) was an American novelist, journalist and social activist. A pioneer in the then-burgeoning world of commercial magazine fiction, he was one of the first fiction writers to obtain worldwide celebrity and a large fortune from his fiction alone. Some of his most famous works include The Call of the Wild and White Fang, both set in the Klondike Gold Rush, as well as the short stories "To Build a Fire", "An Odyssey of the North" and "Love of Life". He also wrote of the South Pacific in such stories as "The Pearls of Parlay" and "The Heathen", and of the San Francisco Bay area in The Sea Wolf.
