Robert Louis Stevenson was a Scottish novelist and poet who ranked as one of the greatest authors of the 19th century. Stevenson was a prolific writer and he influenced many of the great authors that followed him. Nearly everyone is familiar with some of Stevenson's classic work which includes Treasure Island, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and Kidnapped. Weir of Hermiston is a novel that is set during the Napoleonic Wars. The book centers around a young man named Archie Weir who is banished from his family and is sent to live as the local laird on one of their properties.

Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) was a Scottish writer of novels, essays, poetry, and short stories. He's best known for his children's adventure novel 'Treasure Island' (1883), his collection of poetry 'A Child's Garden of Verses' (1885), and his Gothic novella 'The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' (1886). He achieved celebrity status during his lifetime and his works are highly acclaimed to this day.
