Descriere
This monograph conceptualizes development, consisting of eight dimensions – material prosperity, education, health, economic security among others. The authors implement this concept to design not only an overall index of development (DI) for Indian states but also three sub indices, human development (HD), security (SEC) and voice and confidence (VC). This study will enable states to reflect on whether they have been performing according to their priorities and if not, they may choose to tweak their policies or their development strategies.
