When I Sit in Darkness: The Gates of Hell

Autor Tabbie Chamberlain
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 3 dec 2015
In the darkness, the battle we fight can be very detrimental, very costly. It isn't how long or how short the battle is, but how well equipped we are for fighting the enemy. "The night is long, the battle sore, No time to stop and tally score. Keep fighting on, don't give up ground, For soon you'll wear the victor's crown." Our trust must be in God's ability to see us through the darkest times, not in His desire to let us escape the night. "When I Sit In Darkness" is a beacon that will cast a light into your world, giving you strength for today and hope for tomorrow. From its pages, I trust that you can feel the Spirit of the Lord as the words sink deep into your soul, and bring assurance that you will survive your darkness.

Notă biografică

Having lived in Louisiana all her life greatly influenced the author for the setting of Bethel, her first novel. In Glimmer of Hope, sequel to Bethel, Tabbie captures the hearts of the readers taking them back to Bethel Plantation and the Hebron Family to the years immediately following the close of the Civil War. In 1940, Tabbie (Sharie Winborne Chamberlain) was born to Howard and Ann Winborne, in the southern farming town of Winnsboro, part of the cotton belt of Louisiana. After graduating from high school in 1958, she moved to the Lake Charles area, met and married Sam Chamberlain in 1962. Since Sam's death in 2017, Tabbie lives in MossBluff, a suburb of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Other books by the author: "When I Sit In Darkness"; "Bethel"
