Wildeberry Tails

Autor Missy Villapudua
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 24 ian 2020
The daylight world has always been off-limits to rats and other night-time creatures... but why? A teen-aged rat named Roddy is determined to find out even if it means challenging his family's long-held beliefs. But alas, the daylight world may be as unwelcoming as his grandparents had forewarned.
Shining light on hidden truths, pushing friendships to the limit, and dodging the paws and claws of the daylight creatures may be an adventure too painful to pursue... maybe living in the shadows is easier and safer after all
And perhaps some secrets are better kept in the dark...

Notă biografică

Missy Villapudua is the author of the Wildeberry Tails children's book series, which is a collection of whimsical stories chronicling the curious creatures that inhabit her small farm on Whidbey Island, Washington. Her writing debut, entitled The Year of the Rat, was published in January 2020. Missy was blessed to grow up surrounded by nature in the Central Valley of California. As a child she built tumbleweed forts, chased snakes and polliwogs, liberated grapes from the farmer's field, and convinced her neighbors that trick-or-treating in the summer in full costume was perfectly acceptable behavior. As a foreign exchange student in Switzerland, Missy picked tobacco (though she's never smoked...anything) and took Russian classes taught in French. After graduating from the University of California, Davis, she worked for a governor and a state attorney general, served as a director for a Fortune 400 company and held about every title one can hold with the word "relations" in it. Missy rarely follows the recipe when cooking and her gift for finding four-leaf clovers is legendary. The little girl who ran barefoot through the neighborhood and rescued wayward bees from the swimming pool now enjoys writing about the wildlife that inhabits the small Whidbey Island farm she and her husband John share with their two horses, four goats, five ducks, two dogs, and a mischievous cat named Koi.
