JOHN W. DE PAUW was the Army Reserve Adviser to the Director of the Strategic Studies Institute, U.S. Army War College, prior to his current assignment as Reserve Adviser to the U.S. Commander-in-Chief, Korea. He is a specialist in civil- military operations and long-range planning. Colonel De Pauw is the author of U.S.-Chinese Trade negotiations and Soviet-American Trade Relations, as well as articles in Slavic Review and Far East Studies.GEORGE A. LUZ is a research psychologist specializing in environmental consequences of sound. He manages the Environmental Noise Assessment Program at the U.S. Army Environmental Hygiene Agency. Dr. Luz holds the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, and his past publications have been in medical, acoustical, and psychological journals.
