Sarah Blizzard is a graduate of Samford University, where she received a Bachelor''s degree Cum Laude in Political Science and German, and the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she received a Master''s degree in International Affairs. Her fields of study include politics of the European Union and human rights focusing on women''s issues. Sarah''s research includes her master''s thesis, "Women''s Roles in the 1994 Rwanda Genocide and the Empowerment of Women in the Aftermath" and co-authorship of studies on German culture and literature. Sarah''s work experience includes internships with Capital Research Center in Washington, D.C (www.capitalresearch.org), Civitas (Institute for the Study of Civil Society) in London, U.K. (www.civitas.org/uk), and the Coca-Cola Company in Brussels, Belgium (www.coca-cola.com). Sarah currently works in resource development at CARE USA, a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty by empowering women in the developing world (www.care.org).
