On the other side of the world in central Africa, expat supervisor Bill Parker and his day shift foreman have just pulled a strange silver ball from the company's crushing machine. Parker has no idea that the ball he takes home and leaves in an ashtray beside his bed is a two-million-year-old artifact that has the potential to change the world forever.
