Recenzii
I highly recommend this book for anyone considering or in a senior leadership role. As an experienced senior leader, Jon Tait provides a great platform to reflect on, improve and develop leadership practice. As a leader, it is vital not only to continue to grow yourself but also to enable this in others around you. This book really captures the essence of highly effective school leadership based on theory, practice and experience.
This book is a powerful and unique manual for senior leaders of all educational establishments and those aspiring to be so in the future. It asks questions, demands self-reflection and promotes individual and collaborative evaluation of current practice. Undoubtedly it will provide us with all of the tools required to build capacity and support the next generation of school leadership. Uniquely the book shows that, without prejudice or judgement, we can inspire, motivate and generate teams to lead, prepare, model and critique in order to achieve excellence.
The book is interesting to read and captures the essence of leadership in a school. It felt like having a friendly experienced mentor with me the whole time I was reading it.
The book stands out because it has clear, concise information broken into bite-size chunks. Full credit to Jon Tait as there are useful takeaways and practical ideas for those thinking about applying for a senior leadership role, allowing the reader to reflect about their educational future.
