Recenzii

There is an excellent general introduction by the editor followed by separate chapters on the principal "new peace keepers".
This book is to be recommended as an introductory guide to the problems faced by these "new" peacekeepers ... this book is intended for those who are fairly new to the study of peacekeeping and its challenges ... any reader would find the chapters on Germany and Japan illuminating.
This is a volume which examines peacekeeping from the point of view of the participating states and international organizations in post-Cold War peacekeeping.
An interesting contribution to the discussions on a new era of peacekeeping operations.
There is scope here for much research into the factors which have encourages - and discouraged - them. This small book makes a valuable ... start.
