PAM FOLEY is a Senior Lecturer in Children and Families at Faculty of Health and Social Care, The Open University, UK. Her research interests include social policy affecting children and young people and children's agency. She has a practice background in women's and children's health. Her previous publications include Children in Society (co-edited with J. Roche and S. Tucker S, Palgrave Macmillan 2000) Connecting with children (co-edited with S. Leverett) Promoting children's wellbeing (co-edited with J. Collins) and Changing Children's Services (co-edited with A. Rixon) STEPHEN LEVERETT is a Lecturer in Children and Young People at Faculty of Health and Social Care, The Open University, UK. His practice background is in social care and social work in both the statutory and voluntary sector. His publications include Connecting with children (co-edited with Pam Foley).
