Krista M. Soria works in theOffice of Institutional Research at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, USA.She is interested in researching high-impact practices that promoteundergraduates’ development, the experiences of first-generation andworking-class students, and programmatic efforts to enhance students’leadership, civic responsibility, and engagement in social change. 

Tania D. Mitchell is an assistantprofessor of higher education at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, USA. Herteaching and research focuses on service-learning as a critical pedagogy toexplore civic identity, social justice, student learning and development, raceand racism, and community practice.
