Descriere
With significant applications in drug delivery and formulation science, colloids offer the same advantages of typical materials used for release but can be tailored to specific bulk material properties such as release profiles. Colloidal systems have the potential to increase the shelf life and improve efficacy of a drug, thus reducing the required dosage concentrations and the frequency of administration. Featuring contributions from an international panel of scientists and researchers, this book presents the most recent findings on the application of colloidal properties in drug delivery systems, contributing to the understanding and improved design of novel and advanced drug delivery applications.
