Sara Carson is a high school math teacher. She is a closeted lesbian and enjoys her privacy. She has had a failed relationship and is not looking for another one when Cynthia Wesley walks into her life one evening. Cynthia is also a teacher, and has accepted a job teaching at the same high school. Her relationship with her family is strained due to her sexual orientation. Completely taken with Cynthia, Sara begins to come out of her shell and a relationship evolves. Things are going really well when a series of events leads to Sara being forced to come out. Sara and Cynthia suffer through the challenges together and find out just how strong love can make them.
