Dry Mineral Processing

Autor Saeed Chehreh Chelgani, Ali Asimi Neisiani
en Limba Engleză Hardback – mar 2022
This book introduces and explains all existing dry processing methods, drawing from larges studies about these techniques in both the academia and industrial sectors. Potentially, water insufficiency is one of the critical issues that could be the major cause of international conflicts. Thus, reducing water consumption and pollution in all industrial sectors is an essential issue for all countries. As a main part of the mining industry, ore processing plants are highly dependent on water, and water scarcity poses significant risk to the industry. Thus, water consumption is a strategic issue for mineral processing plants, particularly in dry climate countries. To select dry or wet processing, the differences between these conditions should be taken into consideration, which needs an in-depth understanding of the various possible methods. This book will be of interest to professionals and researchers.

Notă biografică

Dr. Saeed Chehreh Chelgani has a solid background in mineral processing with over 16 years of experience. As an associate professor, since 2019, he has joined the Lulea University of Technology (LTU). He was responsible for developing "dry processing" for the "center of advanced mining and metallurgy (CAMM)”, LTU, Sweden. Through collaborative work in mineral processing academia and industry, he has gained a lot of experience in industrial teamwork and management. He has also received some of the most prestigious awards in Canada, the USA, etc. He is an editorial board member of various journals in the mineral processing area and has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles (over 2500 citations, H-index: 31). He was recognized as a top 2% scientist author and top 1% journal reviewer powered by Mendeley, and Web of Science, respectively.
Mr. Ali Asimi holds the master of mineral processing engineering. He had more than six years of scientific and industrial activities related to the mineral processing industry. He has conducted various projects and investigations in the same area and gained a lot of experience in research, R&D, teaching, and industrial teamwork. Being a teaching assistant and working in hydrometallurgy and mineral processing laboratories caused Ali to acquire the essential skills and self-confidence to be a scientific author. Immediately after receiving the master's degree, he was invited to work by the director of the most well-known zinc producer in Iran, Bafgh Zinc Smelting Company (BZSC). He has achieved several remarkable accomplishments, more notably in R&D, dense medium separation, and pyrometallurgy BZSC's units, where he has had a management background.
