Recenzii
From the reviews:
"This 20-chapter … provides a summary description of imaging in patients with cancer. … serve as an up to date, broad overview of oncologic imaging for radiologists and all involved in oncologic care, particularly oncologists and radiation therapists. … present a good overview of state-of-the-art imaging for nonimagers involved in oncologic practice, such as radiation oncologists and medical oncologists. For those individuals, Imaging in Oncology offers valuable insights into the most appropriate and effective use of MRI, CT … in the evaluation of specific tumors." (H. William Strauss, Journal of the American Medical Association, Vol. 301 (2), 2009)
"The purpose of this book is to provide an overview of oncologic imaging and its application to medical and surgical therapies. … This book is aimed toward radiologists, oncologists, radiation therapists, residents, and fellows in these specialties. Other physicians managing oncology patients can also benefit from the materials presented. … The chapters are well written and easy to understand, and the references in each chapter are comprehensive." (Aurelio Matamoros Jr., The Journal of Nuclear Medicine, Vol. 50 (1), January, 2009)

Textul de pe ultima copertă
Imaging in Oncology consists of scholarly reviews that describe the role of imaging in oncology for diagnosis, follow-up and image guided interventions. Experts in various fields of radiology have contributed to this book. The contents are organized into several sections based on the primary site of malignancy.
Each section includes scholarly reviews on the present role of modern imaging techniques in malignancies involving different parts of the body. The reviews highlight new developments and advances in oncologic imaging and discusses established and new techniques such as plain radiography, ultrasound, CT, MR imaging, nuclear medicine, PET and PET/CT.
This textbook serves as an up-to-date, attractive, broad overview book of oncologic
imaging for radiologists and others involved in oncologic care, particularly medical oncologists and radiation therapists.
Series Editor's comments:
"There have been remarkable advances in oncologic imaging over the past decade. Leading figures in the field describe both the techniques and applications against a spectrum of malignancies. This text serves as a resource for clinicians and radiologists involved in cancer care."
