'This book offers crucial insights into the strategies of the most effective governments in the world, drawing on decades of research and experience. Representing the best of the East and West, this book should be required reading for public servants everywhere.' - Dalia Mogahed, Director, The Abu Dhabi Gallup Center, Appointed in 2009 by President Obama to the White House Faith based and Neighborhood Partnership Advisory Council

'Leading Smart Transformation is an important book for managers in leading positions and a must-read for anyone working in public sector reform. This is a timely addition to the literature on public sector reforms. With its clear, hands-on approach, it is bound to become the reference book of choice for practitioners across the globe.' - Alexander Fisher, Managing Director / Member of the Executive Board at the DIW Berlin
'This book is very well written, especially when compared with the many treatises on management. It has the advantage of minimal academic jargon and makes extensive use of examples, including quotations from interviews with key actors involved in transforming governmental organizations. I recommend it for both practitioners and students of public administration.' - Victor H. Vroom, BearingPoint Professor of Management and Professor of Psychology. Yale School of Management

'Powerfully illuminating, a timely prescription for how we govern in the emerging 21st Century world.' - Kalu N. Kalu, Professor of Political Science, Auburn University Montgomery, USA
'This book is very timely. The world is changing fast and it is crucial for public sector to respond and to learn to make decisions in a rapidly evolving environment. Private sector is evolving rapidly. Those who cannot adjust are eliminated thru the creative destruction of markets. Governments and public policy makers always face challenges much more complex than those in private sector. Unlike corporations, governments have to achieve more than one and sometimes conflicting objectives. If the public sector does not respond to the changing world, the whole society faces the danger of stagnation. This book provides very useful insights for policy makers from the successful private sector experiences in managing the change for organizations.' - Professor N. Bulent Gultekin the current Wharton Professor and the previous Governor, Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, 1993; Chief Adviser, to the Ministry of Privatization, Poland, 1990-91
'As expected 'Leading Smart Transformation' is the sort of intriguing, multifaceted approach, I have come to expect from projects offered by Andrew Kakabadse, Mohammad Omar Abdulla, Rabih Abouchakra and Ali Qassim Jawad. This piece is no exception as it has the potential to inform organization development, leadership, and contemporary literature on the public sector, offering quality, depth, and breadth of topical exploration.' - Arthur Sementelli, Assistant Director, School of Public Administration Florida Atlantic University
