Recenzii
Review from previous edition Successful global law firms - and other firms aspiring to become such - will benefit from this book's insights.
...a valuable collection of essays...check out the book
The publication of Managing the Modern Law Firm marks something of a seminal moment in the development of management theory in this market. For the first time... academic and professional heavyweights have faced up to the scale and unique complexity of law firm management.
It looks a real winner.
While most lawyers admire sound organisation, they regard the discipline of management with considerable mistrust. These management sceptics would do better to immerse themselves in a different book Managing the Modern Law Firm, edited by Laura Empson... This is a rich and stimulating blend of practical insight, scholarly analysis, historical narrative, and solid empirical research, written by an impressive array of leading experts.
Managing the Modern Law Firm is required reading for scholars of the legal profession, managers of law firms, and the professionals and clients whose lives are shaped by these important institutions.
This book offers truly helpful insights and recommendations about how to reconcile a large international organisation with the individual freedom and inspiration professionals seek.
Legal firms face severe challenges in adapting their working practices in these rapidly changing times. This lively and thorough account of those challenges will give partners - and their aspiring colleagues - plenty to think about.
This book provides important insight into the hard questions facing the modern law firm in a fast-moving era of change.
Clear, challenging and thought-provoking. A quality contribution to a topic which has had too little serious attention, despite the undoubted economic importance of the legal services sector.
