Recenzii
A pleasingly thought-provoking text for both training and serving primary teachers. Each chapter begins by hovering above personal and curricular constraints, bristling with challenging questions, only then to zoom onto practice-based ideas with professional clarity and detail. Amanda McCrory and Kenna Worthington's "can-do" tone is infectious, the classroom-focused activities make a strong case for durable engagement with science by children and teachers.
An excellent textbook which is well written and which promotes the "thinking doing talking science" pedagogy. It is concise with good examples throughout and really uses the idea of teaching science in a way that it will be engaging for pupils and their teachers ... Its use of case studies and "Pause for Thought" boxes help the reader to reflect on the examples and consider how this relates to their own teaching. A great book for encouraging student teachers to be excellent practitioners.
