In dem vorzustellenden Sammelband werden acht Projekte zu städtischen und ländlichen Arztpraxen (mit Forschenden aus Berlin, Bern, Ingolstadt, Innsbruck/Bozen, Stuttgart,Würzburg und Zürich) im Zeitraum vom Dreißigjährigen Krieg bis zum Fin de Siècle von 20 Autorinnen und Autoren vorgestellt. Dazu haben die Herausgeber eine sehr gelungene Zweiteilung gewählt.
