Boris Lanin in Head of Humanities at the Russian Academy of Education, Moscow, Russia. His publications include The Prose of the Russian Emigration, published in Moscow, 1997.David Gillespie is Reader in Russian at the University of Bath, UK. His previous publications include The Twentieth Century Russian Novel: an introduction (1996) and The Life and Work of Fedor Abramov (1997).
