When you are a temperamental, time-travelling teenager who has had to survive a bloody civil war just to have to live your life over again, you are bound to have a bad day. Upon waking up in her modern teenaged body with memories of another life and time in her head Bridgit has something of a problem. First she has to convince people she is who she says, then she has to rebuild her life while supporting the monarchy through what looks to be turbulent times once more. While her personal honor dictates that Bridgit fight to preserve the monarchy as she did 300 years ago, she is bone tired. But with modern Usurpists and family drama afoot (mischievous siblings and prideful descendants alike) there is no rest for the wicked - and Bridgit is as wicked and wily as they come. One thing that no one is counting on in all of this though is a crown edict passed on in ghostly form.
