Recenzii
The writing is clear, and the figures are excellent. However, it is the tables that are particularly good, being educational and easy to access. I would recommend that the text is acquired by specialist epilepsy centers and also by senior trainees who wish to pursue a career in epileptology.
As outlined, I took great pleasure in reading this book and I think that it is an excellent resource. There are some very interesting chapters and sections. This is a comprehensive review of the scientific basis of epilepsy and seizures, clinical diagnosis, general management, and pharmacological and nonpharmacological therapies, as well as psychological and social issues related to the disorder... This can be valuable for medical students, interns, neurology residents, or neurologists looking for a concise and easy to read epilepsy book. The online features should prove useful in teaching, researching and reviewing.
This is an authoritative and fairly comprehensive text on epilepsy, epileptic seizures, and other neurological disorders. We commend the editors for their terrific skills in planning, compiling, and organizing the materials; and the numerous contributing chapter authors for sharing their expert knowledge by writing on their specialties. A job well done indeed, by all.
