Notă biografică
Born in Syracuse, N.Y. in 1929, Eric Carle moved to Germany in 1935 with his parents. His schooling there included work under Ernst Schneidler at the Academy of Graphic Arts in Stuttgart. He returned to America in 1952 and worked as a graphic designer for The New York Times, and later as art director for an international advertising agency. His first two books, 1,2,3 to The Zoo, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar, gained him immediate international recognition. The latter title, now considered a modern classic, has sold over seven million copies and been translated into 14 languages. He writes of his work: "It may look simple, but I put a lot of thought into my work. It takes a long time to develop an idea. Many people ask me where ideas come from, and the best answer is from a child who wrote me and said, 'Some ideas come from the outside, but the other part comes from the inside,' -- and that's the truth."
Descriere
A delightful story of an old-fashioned breakfast. Modern-day pancake mix holds little charm compared to starting from scratch, and young reader will find their mouths watering, and will wish that they, too, could have real pancakes! This Eric Carle classic is back by popular demand with bright, all-new illustrations.
