Recenzii
From the reviews:
"All the speakers have presented their ideas clearly and in a proper setting, making many of the articles quite useful for a person who wants to obtain a bird’s eye view. … I thoroughly enjoyed reading through the articles in this book and it must have been an exciting conference. … This is a valuable addition to any library and will serve as a useful source of information for any graduate student or researcher who wants to enter or appreciate this field." (Thanu Padmanabhan, Classical and Quantum Gravity, Issue 24, 2007)

This volume is composed of extensive and detailed notes from the lectures given at the 40th Karpacz Winter School. This school focussed on quantum gravity phenomenology with emphasis on its relation to observational astrophysics and cosmology. These notes have been carefully edited with the aim to give advanced students and young researchers a balanced and accessible introduction to an rather heavily mathematical subject.
