This book endeavours to examine the imperative of quality higher education as a stimulus for sustainable development in Africa. It focuses on how quality higher education is conditio sine qua non for sustainable development in the continent by analysing pedagogical issues, entrepreneurship, ethics and culture, internationalisation and the “new normal” dictated by Covid-19. The first part of this volume discusses the context and need for sustainable development, using higher education as an impetus, while the second part focuses on quality assurance processes and mechanisms for enhancing African higher education in an earnest drive toward sustainable development.
