Notă biografică

Jonathan Gosling is Professor of Leadership Studies at the University of Exeter Business School. He holds an Otto Monsted Visiting Professorship at Copenhagen Business School (2014), and has been a Distinguished Visiting Professor of Leadership Development at INSEAD, France, as well as a Visiting Professor at McGill University, Quebec, and at Lund University, Sweden. He conceived and co-founded the One Planet MBA at Exeter, on which he directs a module involving participants from several business schools - Managing Around the World: Roundtables for Practicing Managers. His commitment to workplace-based learning is expressed in CoachingOurselves.com . Professor Gosling has published articles in Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, Leadership, Management Learning, Organization, Corpoate Governance, Academy of Management Learning and Education, and in many more practice-oriented outlets. His books include 'Nelson's Way: Leadership Lessons from the Great Commander' (Nicholar Brearly, 2005), 'Key Concepts in Leadership' (Routledge, 2008), 'Foundations in Leadership: articles in celebration of John Adair (Palgrave, 2008), 'Exploring Leadership: individual, organsational and societal perspectives' (Oxford University Press, 2012), 'Leadership: Key concepts' (Sage, 2012) and 'Fictional Leaders: heroes, villains and absent friends' (Palgrave, 2013). Professor Gosling is a Fellow of the Windsor Leadership Trust, the Leadership Trust Foundation, and the Singapore Civil Service College; on the Advisory Board of the UK Defence Academy, and a co-director of the European Leadership Centre. He has long been interested in unconscious aspects of organsiational and social life, and has directed and been on the staff of many working conferences including Tavsitock Institute of Human Relations 'Leicester conferences'; he has recently adapted these ideas for a 'Community Mashup' in a global health programme; and developed a tool for founding multi-sector collaborations - 'Mindsets for Partnering'. He is lead author on a Gates Foundation report on the managerial aspects of malaria elimination (2014). He is on the scientific council of the Gordon Lawrence Foundation for 'social dreaming'. Dr. Fu Jia PhD, MRes, MBA, is a Lecturer in Operations and Supply Management at the University of Exeter Business School, England. He jointed the business school in 2009 as a Research Fellow working directly with the dean of the business school Professor Richard Lamming just before he submitted his PhD thesis and was subsequently transferred to a lectureship. His research interests include supply relationship management in a cross cultural context, global sourcing, supply chain learning and innovation and sustainable supply management. Dr Jia has been working extensively with the industry on a number of projects: "Global Sourcing Risk Management", "International Procurement Office in China", "Logistics Innovation in China-Europe supply chains", and "WWF Chinese Innovation Case Studies", to name a few. He is a productive author and has published a number of papers in international conferences and top tier supply chain management journals such as International Journal of Logistics Management, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Economics, International Business Review and Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management among others. He has also edited a book and contributed a book chapter. Prior to his academic career, he had worked in the 3PL sector in Beijing, China. Dr. Jia holds a B. Eng in Mechanical Engineering, China, a MBA from Birmingham Business School, UK and a PhD from Cranfield School of Management, UK. Morgen Witzel is an internationally known writer, lecturer and thinker on the problems of management. His 22 books have been published in many languages and have sold more than 90,000 copies worldwide. He has published more than 4,000 articles in publications including the Financial Times, Financial World, The Smart Manager, EFMD Global Quarterly and many others. For the past 10 years he has taught at the University of Exeter Business School and been part of the teaching faculty group at their innovative One Planet MBA Programme. He is a Fellow of the University's Centre for Leadership Studies.
