Recenzii

This is a useful book for teachers and students alike.  The extensive reference to good practice gives the reader opportunities to develop understanding and skills.  There are ideas a-plenty to engage and excite children about learning languages. The de-construction of the CLIL approach gives primary teachers an insight of how to use a methodology which has hitherto been viewed as ‘for experts only.’ Particularly useful is the guidance on how to implement languages at KS1.

This very accessible text weaves theory and practice together well, offering readers opportunities to reflect on important key issues related to teaching and learning languages in the primary school context. It provides very useful guidance for students with only emerging knowledge and confidence in this area of the curriculum as well as offering chapters for more experienced practitioners.
