The Distracted

Set in the year 2034, ten years before the Collapse of the old world, Hobart private detective Jeff Brady lives in a society where political correctness, once the champion of equal rights, has devolved to become a form of oppression.

Controlling the political correctness movement to suit their own agenda is a small group of highly influential people known as The Cabal. Their latest objective is to keep the public's eye away from privacy laws being slowly altered by the Australian Parliament in Canberra. To do this they need an event that will captivate the nation, an event that will involve murder.

Meanwhile in Sydney the famous scientist Henry Abel has accidentally found a way for the brain to control the body after death, a discovery which will alter the journey of mankind for well over a century.
