The Journey of Mankind: The Eschatology of Man from His Creation to His Eternal Destiny

Autor Walter Butler
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 26 iun 2013
A SYNOPSIS OFTHE JOURNEY OF MANKINDWALTER BUTLER, AUTHORAfter losing my wife of 55 years in 2006 I proceeded to take steps to retire from my fulltime professorship and enter into retirement. My plans for my retirement years were to spend more time in writing, research, community, and service activities. My first project was to write a nonfiction book dedicated to the memory of my deceased wife. Through research, study, consultation, inspiration, and prayer I wrote, A Mansion in Glory Land, a nonfiction Christian book. The book has enjoyed success in the marketplace and I have been encouraged to proceed with a second in a series of books. This book is entitled The Journey of Mankind. The manuscript takes mankind beginning in the Garden of Eden and traces his life during the Pre-Flood period, through the flood itself, and the many centuries down to the birth of Jesus Christ. It also includes the period from the birth of Christ to the early years of the 21st century. The hopes, aspirations, dreams, ambitions, successes, failures, the need for a "right relationship" with the Lord Jesus Christ, and the tragedy of choosing not to follow Christ are covered. The end time on earth including the battle of Armageddon and the new heaven and the new earth are amplified. What heaven is going to be like is examined and explained. Refreshing insights are illuminated that point the way to a more rewarding and enjoyable life while on earth.
