Textul de pe ultima copertă
This book examines transmedia practices in the Asia and Pacific region. Transmedia is a form of storytelling where multiple platforms are used to tell a common story. This is normally used to tell complex fictional stories—Star Wars—, to cover complex events—2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi—, or to involve a big audience such as in the case of advertisements—Coca-Cola-Happiness Factory “Open Happiness”. This volume explores the current status of the transmedia phenomenon and its specific characteristics in countries from the Asia and Pacific Region through diverse case studies. It provides a key resource for scholars and educators in the Asia Pacific and beyond, who seek diverse examples with which to improve understanding of the Transmedia phenomenon and the inclusiveness of media and communication curricula.
