Recenzii
This is not the first book on school leadership but it does approach it in a non prescriptive and engaging way. Jeremy Sutcliffe draws on the views and practices of some outstanding school leaders and gives a very rooted insight into what has made their schools successful. It will interest anyone who aspires to leadership or who wants to know more about good school practice.
Jeremy Sutcliffe has provided an intelligent commentary on education for many years now and it is great to see his insight brought to bear on successful school leadership in this timely book.
This is a careful and inspirational study of headship which celebrates the differences in some of our most successful Headteachers yet finds common patterns in their beliefs and behaviours. At its heart this book should give readers the confidence that if you want to be a great Head or senior leader, you have to find your own style and stay true to your value
Sutcliffe has the keen eyes of a skilled journalist and the instincts of a researcher. He has long been fascinated by schools and writes here persuasively and with deep insight about the qualities which combine to make outstanding school leaders and which he has gleaned from long conversations with outstanding heads. A great read for anyone with ambitions to lead or improve their leadership.
a fascinating collection of ideas, research and anecdotes...presented in a way that is as accessible as it is inspiring...for teachers at any stage in their career
