Dr. Mihir Narayan Mohanty is presently working as Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Institute of Technical Education and Research, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (Deemed to be University), Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He has published over 500 papers in international/national journals, chapters, and conferences along with approximately 25 years of teaching experience at UG and PG levels. He is Active Member of many professional societies like IEEE, IET, ISTE, IRED, IETI, EMC and EMI Engineers, India, ISCA, ACEEE, IAEng, etc. Also, he is Fellow of IE (I) and IETE and Senior Member of IEEE. He has received his M.Tech. degree in Communication System Engineering from Sambalpur University, Sambalpur, Odisha. Also, he has done his Ph.D. work in Applied Signal Processing. He was working as Associate Professor and Head in the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Institute of Technical Education and Research, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. His area of research interests includes applied signal and image processing, digital signal/image processing, biomedical signal processing, and microwave communication engineering. He has worked as Guest Lecturer in many universities. Simultaneously, he has given many invited talks at conferences, webinars, workshops, and FDPs. He has reviewed many Springer and IEEE-based conference papers as well as for international journal papers. He has also received many national and international awards like Cosmic International Awards, Green Thinkerz Award, Green Warriors Award, Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Award, Institution Award from Institute of Engineers (India), and many best paper awards in international conferences.

Dr. Swagatam Das received his B.E. Tel. E., M.E. Tel. E (Control Engineering specialization), and Ph.D. degrees, all from Jadavpur University, India, in 2003, 2005, and 2009, respectively. Currently serving as Associate Professor at the Electronics and Communication Sciences Unit of the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India, his research interests include evolutionary computing, pattern recognition, multiagent systems, and wireless communication. Dr. Das has published more than 300 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings. He is Founding Co-Editor-in-Chief of Swarm and Evolutionary Computation, an international journal from Elsevier. He has also served as or is serving as an Associate Editor of various journals, including Pattern Recognition, Neurocomputing, Information Sciences, IEEE Access, and so on. He is Editorial Board Member of numerous other journals, including Progress in Artificial Intelligence, Applied Soft Computing, and Artificial Intelligence Review. Dr. Das is Recipient of the 2012 Young Engineer Award from the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) and of the 2015 Thomson Reuters Research Excellence India Citation Award for the highest cited researcher from India in the Engineering and Computer Science category for the period 2010–2014.
