Descriere
Based on empirical research this book provides a broad examination of environmental and social concerns in relation to the global mining industry. To facilitate consideration of sectoral specific factors the gold and diamond industry is considered in further detail, before focusing on a particular mining region within Russia. The case study approach allows a comparison of different corporate responsibility business strategies and of three possible models of community development.
