Recenzii

A fine and very useful book, which through an in-depth analysis of education systems of the pre-2003 EU Member States helps to understand the political and cultural dynamics linking, and at the same time distinguishing, educational institutions in the European context.
This is a thoughtful account of education reform in fourteen European countries, of interest to readers who want an introduction to educational change and transition in particular national contexts. The book is a valuable addition to the Education Around the World series and a significant contribution to students of comparative education.
A useful introduction to the history of education systems in Europe.
