Peter Blickle, Ph.D. (1964) in History, University of Munich, Professor for Early Modern History (1972) in Saarbrücken, teaches European History at the University of Berne, Switzerland (since 1980). He has published extensively in Legal History - Landschaften im Alten Reich, (1973), Agrarian History - Studien zur geschichtlichen Bedeutung des deutschen Bauernstandes, (1988) and Reformation History - The Revolution of 1525, (1977); Communal Reformation, (1992).
